‘Guillotine’ is the debut single from new Melbourne trio Gosteleradio, and it sets the bar high! It’s psychedelic pop at its most sublime, and it’s set for release in late November via iTunes. To celebrate the release of ’Guillotine’, Gosteleradio will play a double single launch with experimental rhythm makers and good friends Tic Toc Tokyo on Saturday 19 December at The Workers Club in Melbourne.
’Guillotine’ is the first single lifted from Gosteleradio’s debut album, Great Deeds Against The Dead, which was largely recorded by Brent Pushon (Ouch My Face, Legends of Motorsport) at Head Gap Studios and mixed by The Calculators in Melbourne. The album will be independently released in March 2010 via MGM Distribution.
Initially started as a recording project for brothers Ben and Josh Strong (ex Plug-in City), Gosteleradio was transformed into a three-piece when their friend Marty Umanski (Tic Toc Tokyo) joined the group on drums, and the band broadened its focus to the live circuit.
’Guillotine’ will be released in late November via iTunes. Stay tuned for more news from the Gosteleradio camp as this is only the beginning!
