A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of NSW warns that the rising tide of facial hair threatens to consume us all, or at least our love for hirsute handsomeness. The study indicates that society may have reached “peak beard” and will soon fall out of love with the facial appendage.
“It appears beards gain an advantage when rare, but when they are in fashion and common, they are declared trendy and that attractiveness is over,” researcher Robert Brooks told The Guardian. “The bigger the trend gets, the weaker the preference for beards and the tide will go out again.”
Sad news indeed. Upon hearing the report, we here at Music Feeds immediately began the search for a culprit, and managed to find quite a few hanging about rehearsal rooms around the globe. To that end, we present 15 musos who we believe have taken society to its dreaded peak beard status.
