Watch Black Veil Brides Get Rescued From A Bondi Rip

It seems that while on their recent sojourn in the country as a part of the Soundwave Festival tour, Hollywood-bred glam metal outfit Black Veil Brides had a brush with Australia’s infamous ocean rips, resulting in one of them being hoisted out by Bondi’s famed lifeguards. Thankfully for us, the whole encounter was documented on Sunday night’s episode of Bondi Rescue.

In the video, which you can check out below, lifeguard Azza B. explains his latest rescue, where upon spotting “two girls” struggling in the ocean he set out to lend a hand. In a hilarious twist of events, the “two girls” end up being “guys with long hair”, or more accurately BVB guitarists Jinxx and Jake Pitts.

“I kind of suits,” explains Azza. “Because we did think they were both females when we went for the rescue.” Azza tows in Jinxx who is described as being in “very bad shape” while Jake triumphantly manages to make his way back all by himself.

“I told him what to do and he started panicking. I was like, ‘That’s not what you do,” explains Jake.”The ocean is healing yet deadly. You have to know how to handle it. That’s how I made it back in without the surfboard.”

He continues, “I know how to do everything. I can build houses, I can surf, I can play music. I’ll do everything. That’s not a lie,” he adds. “I’ve done it all.”
