Brazilian metal kings Sepultura have announced their triumphant overdue return to Australia, 11 years since their last sojourn in the country. Members of the Australian and New Zealand Sepultribe will have the chance to catch the South American metallers when the hit stages this October.
From their humble beginnings the city of Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Sepultura are now celebrating a phenomenal 30 year anniversary as the Brazilian ambassadors to the metal world, having just last year released one of their most critically acclaimed albums The Mediator Between The Head And Hands Must Be The Heart.
On the new record, the band has once again teamed up with producer Ross Robinson, who worked on their 1996 album Roots, often considered their greatest release. With a little something for everyone, their ever-evolving sound see the legends combine tribal cues with thrash, death metal, punk and hardcore elements.
Despite having experienced enough lineup changes and genre alterations to keep fans on their toes, Sepultura’s longevity has been cemented by their reputation for blistering live performances.
Tickets to Sepultura’s Australian tour are $59 plus a booking fee and go on sale Thursday, 22nd May at 9.00am.
