Offspring’s Dexter Just Had Two Planes Repossessed, Is No Longer Pretty Fly

The Offspring’s beloved frontman Dexter Holland has felt a very human sting this week with news emerging that the pop punk icon has lost not one, but two private planes to the taxman.

Previously, Holland was in possession of two fully-functional aircraft. I don’t know about you but have you ever owned just two fully-functional aircraft? It’s simply not enough. Dexter knows, and it was the singer’s attempt to purchase a third which was ultimately his undoing.

As written by Gawker, Cessna Aircraft Company have cried foul play after discovering that Holland still owes them a cheeky $782,482.16 dating back to 2007 from the purchase of his third plane. His other two were listed as collateral so when the taxman came a-knockin’ only to find out Holland didn’t have the cheese, they took the planes.

We’re not sure how particular Holland and the Offspring lads are but hopefully good ol’ Qantas will be more than enough if they ever decide to return to Australia. Promoter AJ Maddah says “talks” are underway to bring the group’s Smash 20th Anniversary Tour Down Under, so let’s hope the guys can just wing it.
