Brother-sister folk duo Angus & Julia Stone are set to tour Australia and New Zealand this September following the release of their forthcoming self-titled album in August.
Angus & Julia Stone’s August tour dates (below) will mark their first national tour since 2011 and will include performances at iconic venues such as the Sydney Opera House and Melbourne’s Palais Theatre.
Joining the Stone siblings on the road will be 18-year-old Brisbanite Tim Bettinson, aka Vancouver Sleep Clinic. Bettinson released his debut EP, full of soaring falsetto vocals and light ambient instrumentation, earlier this year.
Angus & Julia Stone’s third studio album is slated to drop Friday, 1st August. Produced by veteran producer Rick Rubin, the release is being framed as a comeback of sorts. After both enjoying successful solo careers, Angus & Julia regrouped to write and record the album at Rubin’s Shangri La Studios in Malibu.
Angus & Julia Stone’s 2014 Australian tour will kick-off in Adelaide on Friday, 12th September, and finish up in Auckland, New Zealand, on Sunday, 28th September. Tickets go on sale 9am, Thursday, 10th July, with a Secret Sounds pre-sale on Tuesday, 8th July.
Angus & Julia Stone will also perform at Splendour in the Grass in late July.
