There’s a local flavour to today’s Tour Guide, with national dates announced by Melbourne band Twerps, a double EP and national tour from Sydney garage rockers Royal Chant and a headlining tour announcement from Port Macquarie native Patrick James.
Twerps To Launch New EP In Sydney And Melbourne
Melbourne pop foursome Twerps are set to play their first headlining shows of 2014 in Sydney and Melbourne as they launch a new EP by the name of Underlay. The EP will be released digitally, as well as on limited edition 12-inch vinyl and cassette.
Underlay marks the first new material from the ever-bittersweet Twerps since their Work It Out/He’s In Stock single, which dropped in late 2012. Since then, the band have toured the US for a third time, played at Meredith and Laneway festivals, and supported Mac De Marco‘s Australian tour. They’ve also been working on their second full-length studio album.

With the help of their fans and the power of KickStarter, Royal Chant went into Music Feeds Studio last year and blasted through 13 tracks that traverse all manner of genres, including garage, grunge, rock, pop and fuzz. Now, they’ll be showcasing the DIY release on the road.
