Promoter Chugg Entertainment have announced that Kongos‘ debut Australian tour has been postponed due to “unforeseen scheduling conflicts”. Tickets for the South African group’s first visit to Australia went on sale this morning.
With no official statement from the band or the venues scheduled for the tour, details at the moment are scant, though Music Feeds understands that the official Facebook event page for the tour was deleted some time this morning. A brief statement from Chugg Entertainment reads, “Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts the shows will need to be postponed until 2015. Refunds are available at point of purchase.”
The short tour, supported by Kingswood, was scheduled for late November, with dates at Melbourne’s Ding Dong Lounge, Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory, and the Handpicked Festival in Adelaide. It’s not known at this time when new dates will be announced.
The group, comprised of four sons of South African singer John Kongos, are best known for their smash single Come With Me Now.
Stay tuned to Music Feeds for updates as we get them.
