Chet Faker has announced a second Melbourne show to his homecoming national tour due to popular demand. Given that The Chester is from Melbourne it’s no surprise that his home city show would sell out fast, with newly added date to take place at the Palais Theatre on Thursday, 26th February.
It’s been nothing short of an incredible year for Mr Faker, real name Nick Murphy, who has been crushing it in the US and Europe, playing to a packed out Webster Hall in New York and rocking a 6,000 capacity arena in Istanbul. This is the run behind much-loved debut album Built On Glass, which earlier this week earned him Australian Album of the Year at the 2014 J Awards.
This year Murphy also won a Victoria Music Award and picked up three ARIA Awards, with a further six nominations.
Supporting Chet Faker on his national tour is producer Roland Tings and funk outfit GL. Tickets for all shows, including the new show at the Palais Theatre in Melbourne, are on sale now. Full tour details below.
UPDATE: 21/11/14 Chet Faker’s second show at Melbourne’s Palais Theatre has sold out. A third Palais Theatre has been added on Wednesday, 25th February. Tickets for the third Melbourne show on sale from 2pm (AEDT) Monday, 24th November. All other dates are on sale now. Full tour details below.
