Sinead O’Connor has added a Melbourne performance to her forthcoming Australian tour. The Hamer Hall at Arts Centre Melbourne will host the outspoken Irish singer on 4th March 2015.
Buoyed by her new album I’m Not Bossy I’m The Boss, 47-year-old O’Connor will be backed by her five-piece band during her Australian jaunt. While material from her latest release will surely be on display, fans can expect to hear some older classics from her ten-album back catalogue.
O’Connor is set to release a tell-all memoir in March 2016, detailing the ups and downs of her life. The book is sure to touch on a few sensitive topics, and discuss her continued advocacy for women’s equality in the entertainment industry.
Sinead O’Connor’s tour of Australia will begin with an appearance at Perth Festival on Saturday, 28th February. Amidst headline shows in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney, O’Connor will also perform at Port Fairy Folk Festival and WOMADelaide 2015.
