Perth’s biggest drug, smoke and alcohol-free all-ages festival, HyperFest, has announced the lineup for this year’s event, featuring Melbourne hip hop artist Illy as the headline act and WA locals including electronic duo Slumberjack, rising star Coin Banks and kings of heaviness Make Them Suffer.
The festival is focused on upcoming Australian artists, and has attracted the applications of over 100 local bands this year. It will also see interstate acts such as Japanese Wallpaper, The Bennies, Ecca Vandal, and Super Best Friends, among others.
HyperFest will be held on Midland Oval on Sunday, March 29 and is an All-Ages 12+ event. It is supported by Drug Aware, Healthway and Headspace. Midland/Guildford Ward councillor Mark Elliott says, “We’re thrilled with the depth of talent available in the region and proud to be able to offer the performance exposure of HyperFest to these aspiring bands.”
