Organisers of Glastonbury 2015 have announced that English rockers The Who will be joining Kanye West and Foo Fighters as this year’s festival headliners.
The classic rockers, made up of remaining core members Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend who are celebrating 50 years since the release of their first studio album My Generation, will headline Sunday night at Glastonbury Festival 2015, with English singer-songwriter Paul Weller playing the penultimate slot.
“It’s great to be ending this part of a 50 year career at the most prestigious and respected music festival in the world,” said The Who’s Roger Daltrey in a statement. “We’ll do our best to close this years event with a bang, unless of course the fireworks get wet!” The Who played the same Glastonbury Sunday night headline slot back in 2007.
The announcement now completes the Glastonbury 2015 lineup announcement, with Kanye topping the Saturday night lineup and Foo Fighters closing out the day on Friday. Other acts playing Glastonbury 2015 include Florence + the Machine, Pharrell Williams, Alt-J, Lionel Richie, Motörhead, Mary J Blige and Australia’s Courtney Barnett.
Glastonbury Festival 2015 will will run from June 24th to June 28th at its traditional home of Somerset. See the full lineup below.
