Cold Chisel have announced a second show as part of their Last Stand gigs which will mark the final Aussie performances at Sydney’s Qantas Credit Union Arena (known to many as Sydney Entertainment Centre) which is set to be demolished as part of the Darling Harbour refurbishment.
Due to high demand the band will play another show on Thursday, 17th December on top of their previously announced show on Friday, 18th December.
These shows are set to be mighty, with Jimmy Barnes and co also revealing that they will consist of two sets. The second set will be made up of songs from their original 1983 Last Stand gig which took place in the year the Darling Harbour venue opened.
The 1983 gig featured some of the band’s most iconic tracks including Khe Sahn, Choirgirl and Cheap Wine. It also saw the band perform covers of songs by the likes of Jerry Lee Lewis, Ike & Tina Turner and The Top Notes.
Taking to Facebook Cold Chisel wrote, “Out of the original setlist from our Last Stand show on December 15, 1983, which 12 songs do you think we MUST include?”
Check out the new date below and also decide which songs you’d like to hear from their 1983 ‘Last Stand’ setlist.
