Beloved Aussie singer-songwriter Courtney Barnett has been recruited by British alt-rock heroes Blur to open two of their upcoming US shows.
As NME reports, Barnett will support Blur at their Los Angeles show on 20th October and their New York date at Madison Square Garden on the 23rd.
Barnett, who has had a massive 2015, was recently named the proud owner of “The Best Song Of 2015 So Far” by Rolling Stone, thanks to her track Pedestrian At Best.
Having toured Australia and played at a number of big-name festivals already this year — including Glastonbury — Barnett’s Blur support slot proves she’s well on her way to becoming a potential headliner of tomorrow. Catch 11 other acts who could also reach such heights in the gallery, below.
