One Day crew, the legends behind One Day Sundays have just announced the huge line up for their festival One Day Only, the hip hop block party set to take over Sydney’s Manning Bar on Saturday November 21st.
California’s own Anderson .Paak will be headlining the main-stage. Making his first visit to Australia, .Paak is a talented singer, rapper, producer and drummer. Having played an instrumental role – no pun intended – in Dr Dre‘s Compton album, .Paak appeared on six of 16 of the albums tracks, featuring on tracks beside such company as Ice Cube and Eminem.
Releasing his incredible album Venice late last year, One Day are big fans of the upcoming rapper and are excited to have him on the bill for the festival. “We’re all big fans of Anderson. Paak and his record Venice, and love what he did on Dre’s Compton. We’re very proud to be the first event to bring him out to Australia” said One Day’s Adit, one half of duo Horrorshow.
Not the only guest arriving via the international terminal, .Paak will be joined by New Zealand hit-maker P Money, the producer heading up a huge line up of One Days Sundays best and brightest DJs. Including Sampology, M-Phazes, Bliss N’ Eso‘s DJ Izm, jayteehazard, and Halfway Crooks, this who’s who of hip hop will of course be joining resident One Day Sundays DJs Joyride and Adit.
Taking the block party vibe of One day Sundays and taking it to a larger scale, the event will feature an exciting line-up of live music across a range of genres including hip hop, r&b, soul and electronica.
“We’re really excited to host a crazy wealth of talent, both established acts and so many up and comers,” says rapper Solo of the event. The other half of Horrorshow, Solo is excited to see the event, which the whole One Day crew had a part in come to fruition. “This is a lineup we’ve curated and hand selected ourselves. We believe in each of these artists and we know they will deliver the goods.”
Announced just a week ago with a cheeky video, below, first release tickets had already sold out before the lineup was revealed today so get in while there are still tickets left.
