17-year-old Central Coast singer-songwriter E^ST has taken to the triple j studios this morning to cover The Verve‘s 1997 hit Bitter Sweet Symphony for Like A Version.
E^ST’s cover of the The Verve’s classic track saw the singer and her team of fellow musos pull the song back to its famous string melody before climbing into anthem territory and even working in a little of Massive Attack‘s Teardrop.
While in the triple j studio, E^ST also performed her own track The Alley, which features on her recently released EP of the same name. Catch both performances in full, below.
After her performance, E^ST took to Facebook to share her excitement. “Whoaaa still can’t believe I got to do this haha! Thank you so much triple j for having me! So humbled by the experience, and I had so much fun doing it,” E^ST posted.
