Triple threat guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Gary Clark Jr. is heading down-under for Falls and Southbound festivals at the end of this year but now he’s added two more shows to his roster.
Clark Jr. will play two headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne next January, taking to the iconic Sydney Opera House in the former.
The American, who just released his sophomore LP The Story of Sonny Boy Slim, was in the country earlier this year to play Bluesfest plus a few extra shows, but he’s obviously a fan, returning less than a year later. It’s the first time Aussie fans will get to hear him live since the release of the record.
This year alone, he’s played Bonnarroo and Lollapalooza, plus he’s got an appearance at Austin City Limits coming up this weekend. He’s in high demand but Australia seems to be one of his largest fanbases.
