2015 is drawing to a close, which means it’s time again for the annual allocation of J Awards, triple j‘s crowning Ausmusic month event, which celebrates the best music being brewed in our own backyard.
The broadcaster has just announced the full run of this year’s nominees, with local heavyweights the likes of Courtney Barnett, Tame Impala, Parkway Drive, Alison Wonderland and 6 more doing battle for the Australian Album Of The Year gong.
There’s also awards for the triple j Unearthed Artist Of The Year, Double J Artist Of The Year and Australian Music Video Of The Year up for grabs, with five nominees in each category.
The winners will be revealed at a J Awards ceremony, which will be broadcast live on triple j from 4.30 pm AEST on Thursday, 19th November.
The station will also be putting on All-Aussie instalments of their usual programs – including The Racket, Like A Version and Live At The Wireless across November to celebrate Ausmusic month.
