Allday is currently on his first US tour and by the looks of it he’s kicking some serious goals if this video of him freestyling is anything to go by.
He delivered the freestyle on Sway Calloway’s iconic morning radio program which is broadcast all around America. For those of you aren’t aware, Sway is a producer, rapper and host who has worked with the likes of Eminem, Kanye West and RZA. Basically he’s big deal.
Allday does a fire job swapping verses with New York rapper Eny, impressing Sway enough for him to ask the Aussie rapper to drop his second album to him once it comes out.
This is the real clincher though. Towards the end of the show Sway announces, “Would you happen to have another beat because Mark Ronson just walked in?”
With Ronson standing just to his left, Allday looks calm, cool and collected as he delivers yet another freestyle for the super producer when in reality he likely would’ve been shitting bricks inside. Throughout the rap he continues to look over to a smiling Ronson, the same way you’d look at your Dad when you ride a bike without the training wheels for the first time.
Allday is understandably overwhelmed by the whole experience. He took to his Facebook to write it was, “by far the dopest thing,” that’s happened in his life to date.
