Canadian singer-songwriter Mac DeMarco isn’t taking the cancellation of this year’s Southbound festival due to bushfires lying down.
The Mac Attack is teaming up with a squadron of local musos – including King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Kirin J Callinan, GUM, Walter TV, Gunns and Andy Boan – to put on a mammoth las -minute show this Sunday.
“PERTH WE DOING THIS. SUNDAY. IT”S HAPPENING,” King Gizz posted on Facebook.
The event kicks off at Perth’s Metro City tomorrow, Sunday 10th January from 8pm, with $10 from each ticket going straight to the Red Cross bushfire relief efforts.

Meanwhile, Southbound headliners Disclosure are heading up another freshly-announced bushfire benefit gig in Perth tomorrow as well.
