Troye Sivan, Halsey, Mary J. Blige & More Unveil ‘Hands’, A Song For Orlando Shooting Victims

The biggest names in contemporary music have teamed up to create Hands – A Song For Orlando, dedicated to the victims of the worst gun massacre in American history. The track is available for streaming and downloading now with all proceeds going straight to helping the victims of the Orlando Pulse nightclub shooting.

The small crowd of phenomenal talent features the likes of Mary J. Blige, Halsey, Pink and Britney Spears, who kicks the ballad off. The sing was written by Justin Tranter, Julia Michaels and BloodPop – who also produced the track alongside Mark Ronson and Justin Tranter.

Everyone involved is worthy of a mention for their efforts and we have the full list below.

Money raised from the single will go to the Equality Florida Pulse Victims Fund, the GLBT Community Center of Central Florida, and GLAAD.

GLAAD President and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis said in a statement:

“As we continue to mourn the crushing loss of 49 Americans, the majority of whom were Latinx and whose lives were lost to hate, we stand resolved in paying tribute to their memory, supporting the victims and families, and working together to achieve full acceptance once and for all.”

Hands comes after Lady Gaga’s tribute performance and several Broadway stars including Lin-Manuel Miranda and Idina Menzel who recorded a cover of Burt Bacharach’s What the World Needs Now Is Love. And of course, other tributes from across the world.
