Washington progressive metal outfit Periphery have celebrated the release of their new album Periphery III: Select Difficulty in the greatest way possible, by announcing an Australian tour in support of the new record.
Next February, Periphery will descend upon our fair land, with shows lined up in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. Having toured here previously, Australian fans are no stranger to the unique brand of chaos that comes with a Periphery show — the logistics alone are jaw-dropping, let alone the surgical precision of their music.
Periphery III: Select Difficulty is the latest in a string of forward-thinking and dangerously progressive releases from the band, who found themselves churning out the follow-up to 2015’s Juggernaut at a much more rapid pace.
Music Feeds spoke to guitarist Jake Bowen about the album earlier this year, and about how the Juggernaut double album shaped the band’s attitude towards the follow-up.
Periphery’s previous headline run in Australia completely sold out, so you won’t want to dick around with this one. Catch all the tour and ticket details, below.
