UPDATE 03/02/16: Bruce Springsteen’s Australian tour has expanded with another three shows after several others sold out. Details below.
ORIGINAL STORY: The rumours have become a reality, with Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band today announcing their Summer ’17 Australian tour.
The Boss will tour the country in January and February, playing a total of seven shows in some huge venues in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Hanging Rock, Hunter Valley and Brisbane. Catch all the dates in full, below.
Supporting Springsteen throughout the tour will be the likes of Jet, who will reform to play in Melbourne, Hanging Rock and the Hunter Valley; and Diesel, who will perform at Handing Rock and the Hunter Valley.
In Perth, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane Bruce Springsteen And The E Street Band will perform the concerts in their entirety, with no special guests.
Yesterday, Frontier Touring teased today’s announcement by tweeting, “sometimes tomorrow comes soaked in treasure,” a line from Springsteen’s song Jack Of All Trades. It sent the rumour mill into overdrive and finally, we have the confirmation.
Springsteen was last in Australia in 2014 for his Wrecking Ball tour. Since then, he’s released his 18th album High Hopes and continued to tour the world, currently holding the crown for the highest grossing tour of the year.
This tour is the second huge rock tour to be announced in under a month. Guns N’ Roses have also announced a February tour, so it’s going to be a huge 2017 for rock fans.

UPDATE 24/09/16: After selling out shows in Brisbane and Perth, Springsteen has added an extra show in both of those cities.
