The Friday, 7th October release date for The Devil Wears Prada’s upcoming album Transit Blues has crept up on us, and is now but a matter of days away. Today, the band have released To The Key Of Evergreen, another track off the record, and one thing is for sure — this is a Prada we’ve not yet dealt with before, but damn does it make an impressive roar.
Seeing as how this is a Prada video, you just know that a lot of thought went into it and there’s meaning and depth oozing out of every shot. The To The Key Of Evergreen video (below) was supposedly inspired by Vladimir Nabokov’s novel Lolita, and loosely follows the narrative of a guy transcending both space and time to find his true love.
For the first time in their career, the band retreated to a secluded location and shared a house to work on the record, a process which was sure to be made all the more foreign by the absence of two founding members, drummer Dan Williams and lead guitarist Chris Rubey.
Now as a refined four-piece, Prada appear to be experiencing a bit of a rebirth, with Transit Blues looking to be the genesis. When paired up with maiden single Daughter, To the Key of Evergreen sets up a fairly interesting album.
