The Menzingers Announce 2017 Australian Tour & New Album ‘After The Party’

Philadelphia folk-punk rockers The Menzingers have announced their glorious return to Australian stages. Having already crossed off Soundwave Festival and a run of dates supporting The Smith Street Band, The Menzingers will soon be kicking on down under in a headline capacity.

The band’s new Aussie dates in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney will kick off mere months after the release of their fifth full-length record After The Party. The album has a street date of Friday, 3rd February, and sees the band reconnect with their roots to bring forth a sound that harks back to earlier releases, such as their 2007 debut A Lesson in the Abuse of Information Technology. So, if it was The Clash-infused Menzingers you were after, hoo boy are you in for a ride.

The Menzingers seem pretty chuffed on their output, too, commenting, “We finished tracking After The Party, our fifth album with Will Yip, at Studio 4. We’ve never been more proud of anything in our lives and can’t thank Will enough for totally crushing this record. Can’t wait to share this shit with y’all.”

The band have developed a habit of releasing music that’s praised by both fans and critics alike. Their Epitaph debut On The Impossible Past was a highlight of 2014, and the more recent Rented World becoming an immediate favourite.

Check out the band’s upcoming Aussie tour dates alongside new track Bad Catholics, below.

UPDATE 14/11/17 Due to mental demand, The Menzingers have sold out their 1st Melbourne show, adding another one on at the same venue the night prior.
