Australia’s new Good Island Festival has gone well-and-truly above the call of duty for its inaugural event, dropping a next-level lineup that makes the most of Australia’s talents and throws plenty of love to the next wave of artists.
Organisers of the event’s inaugural 2017 date in Melbourne have tagged the likes of Oscar Key Sung for a cheeky DJ set, known shape-shifter LUCIANBLOMKAMP, Sydney singer/producer Marcus Whale, HTMLflowers and the unstoppable LUEN.
That is but the tip of the iceberg though, with rising stars such as Jaala, CORIN and BOUY also thrown into the mix for the event, with the eclectic spread of talent putting a focus on all things audible and visual.
Good Island Festival artists will be performing twice throughout one-day festival in February — one performance will be a collaboration or experimental experience and the other will be a more conventional show, albeit in a different and exciting locale.
