Kanye West has revealed that he didn’t vote in the US presidential election but if he did he would have given his vote to President-elect Donal Trump.
On stage in California, the rapper embarked on one of his infamous rants, spending 15 minutes talking about US politics.
“I told y’all I didn’t vote, right?” he said, as Pitchfork reports.
“But if I would’ve voted, I would’ve voted on Trump.”
Fan captured videos show the crowd booing after Kanye reveals that but he continued to talk about Trump, delving into his campaign and methods of communication.
“There’s nonpolitical methods to speaking that I like, that I feel were very futuristic. And that style, and that method of communication, has proven that it can beat a politically correct way of communication. And I fuck with that,” he said.
“I actually think that his approach was absolutely genius. Because it fucking worked!”
He did clarify that there are many things he doesn’t believe in despite supporting Trump.
“That don’t mean that I don’t think that Black Lives Matter,” he said.
“That don’t mean I don’t think that I’m a believer in women’s rights. That don’t mean I don’t believe in gay marriage. That don’t mean that I don’t believe in these things because that was the guy I would’ve voted for.”
Yeezy also confirmed that he’s still planning to run for president in 2020 because he’s, “got some ideas about the way we should connect our ideas.”
This saga continues to get more confusing as Spin has now revealed that Kanye donated close to $20,000 to Hillary Clinton’s campaign in 2014 and 2015, making his support of Trump even more confusing.
