For any lucky (Tassie) devils planning on heading down to next year’s MONA FOMA (the Museum Of Old & New Art’s Festival of Music & Art, or MOFO), you’ll be pleased to know that your evening activities are now organised, with the announcement of Faux Mo, the festival’s official afterparty, and the musical lineup contained within.
Curated my MOFO’s resident king of the turntable, Dameza, Faux Mo 2017 will showcase a plethora of artists as forward-thinking as the museum’s main festival event.
The lineup includes (but isn’t limited to) Berlin-based shapeshifter DJ Black Cracker; pioneer of the mashup movement, U.S DJ Z-Tip; and Sydney’s very own Queen Of Bass, Sippy. Ya boy L-Fresh The Lion will also be performing, with brother-in-arms Dylan Joel tagging along too.
It’s just not just about the music, either. Faux Mo 2017 will be just as ambitious as its older sibling. Fellow curators and fellow masterminds Aedan Howlett and Jamin have organised a small crowd of visual artists to compliment the sonic ones, bringing around a whole new sensory level to the event.
Faux Mo will be going down every evening during MOFO 2017. Check out the full lineup alongside ticket details, below.
