American metal mofos Baroness are gearing up to bring the heavy to stages down under, and they’ve made some last minute updates to their Aussie tour plan just over a week before kick off.
First up, their Perth venue has been given the old switcheroo from Capitol to Amplifier right next door, but DW because tickets for the old venue are Hundy-P still valid for the new one.
Baroness have also announced a swathe of local support acts for their Aussie shows. On stage-warm-up duty in Sydney will be We Lost The Sea and Lo!, while Brisbane will see Grieg opening up festivities. The same role in Melbourne will be performed by Batpiss and Child, Adelaide will see support from Child and Krypt, while Skullcave and Bayou will be lubing up the crowd in Perth.
Baroness will also be delivering a dose of distortion to crowds at the annual Meredith Music Festival this December. Their headlining tour marks their first ever Aussie headline jaunt, two years after the four-piece were last down under (they played Soundwave back in 2014, and before that supported Metallica on their 2010 tour).
Baroness are now in their 13th year as a band, and have released four records in that time. Their latest, Purple, dropped last year. Check out the full list of Baroness’ upcoming Aussie headline dates, below.
