My Disco have announced a string of local headline shows for January and February, to compliment their already announced performance at next year’s Sugar Mountain Festival. Throughout the shows, the band will be holding high their brand new remix album Severe Remixes.
Released earlier in the year, Severe Remixes focuses on the band’s 2015 record and fourth full-length album Severe — in particular key tracks 1991 and Our Decade. The two-track remix release bears the unmistakable fingerprints of ambient overlord Brian Williams (aka Lustmord) and techno legend Karl O’Connor (aka Regis).
The tracks come from good stock. Upon its release, Severe pricked up ears the world over, sending the band packing to Europe, South East Asia and back for an extensive run throughout North America. Produced by acclaimed film composer and producer Cornel Wilczek, the album is a unique offering of disturbed darkness and aggressive silence. The perfect case that when you listen to the abyss… the abyss listens back.
My Disco will be traversing their brooding yet glorious soundscape throughout the country on the below dates.
