The good news is, a previously unreleased Green Day tune has just materialised on the internet. The bad news is, it’s only an instrumental.
Unofficially dubbed ‘That Just Happened’, the rough chordal jam was discovered in a bonus chapter (incidentally also dubbed ‘That Just Happened’) of the legendary pop-punk trio’s 2013 documentary ¡CUATRO!, which chronicles the making of their ¡UNO!, ¡DOS!, ¡TRÉ! album trilogy.
As NME reports, was first posted on the Green Day Authority fan site, who speculate that it was recorded live in one take.
It’s definitely quality background music for your weekend, and kinda reminiscent of the Dookie B-side ‘Walking the Dog’.
