After a breakthrough 2016, Tash Sultana has returned with a new single titled ‘Murder To The Mind’.
The track is built around an unwavering drum and keyboard riff, and features Sultana’s inimitable vocals. Following a warm trumpet top line, the song winds up with a mind-warping guitar solo.
‘Murder To The Mind’ was recorded in Melbourne with engineer Nik Miltiadou, who helped put together her Sultana’s Notion EP, and follows on from her more stripped back single ‘Mellow Marmalade’.
Sultana told triple j the hook for ‘Murder’ came to her when she was mucking around on a keyboard during some time off from her Aussie tour.
The newie has been released just in time to get you in the mood for Sultana’s performance at triple j‘s One Night Stand tomorrow, as well as at a stack of dates across rural Aussie festival tour Groovin The Moo, which kicks off in a week’s time. She’s also got a few gigs left on her current Aussie tour.
