Muse have used their headline set at Reading Festival to team up with longtime AC/DC vocalist Brian Johnson for a cover of the band’s iconic track ‘Back In Black’.
Muse have covered the song a number of times in the past, but their performance with Johnson was extra-special, and was one of Johnson’s first performances since he left AC/DC duties due to hearing issues.
“Thank you so much, thank you boys,” Johnson said at the end of the song, hugging Muse frontman Matt Bellamy and lifting him off the ground like a rock n’ roll dad.

This year’s Reading Festival has also seen Kasabian cover Nirvana’s ‘All Apologies’, while Liam Gallagher played a bunch of Oasis hits over at Leeds Festival.
Muse, meanwhile, will return to Australia later this year for a pair of headline tour dates — their first since the release of their latest album Drones.
