Lime Cordiale are stepping back into the ~limelight~ with the announcement of their long-awaited debut album Permanent Vacation.
The Northern Beaches surf-rock duo will be releasing their much-frothed full-length (which as far as we’re aware has no relation to the Aerosmith LP of the same name) on Friday, 13th October.
On the topic of the new record, which was produced by Dave Hammer (Thundamentals, Nicole Millar, Washington), Oli and Louis Leimbach say they “spent a lot of time creating these songs and exploring their sound. We wanted a collection of songs that really have a personality and vibe”.
And to celebrate its imminent release, they’re fuelling up the van and hitting the road on a hu-bloody-mungous national tour across the nation, taking in 16 stops across October, November and December.
The Leimbach bros and their massive backing band will be playing to fans in Perth, Mandurah, Adelaide, Geelong, Melbourne, Byron Bay, Brisbane, Maroochydore, Wollongong, Canberra, Sydney, Hobart & Launceston.
“We’ve had too much time away from playing live shows with the making of this album,” says Oli. “We put everything into the record and now it’s in the can, so we’re fresh and ready to put on a live show that’s bigger and better than before.
“We’ll have a larger band, delivering a bigger show, but we’re still gonna keep this party tight and intimate like it’s in our own living room.”
Today’s big announcement follows the release of Lime Cordiale’s delightful new retro-chic music video for ‘Temper, Temper’, the lead track from Permanent Vacation.
