KISS bassist Gene Simmons is being sued for reported sexual battery.
As The San Bernadino Sun reports, Simmons is being sued by a US radio and television broadcaster who has alleged that Simmons made “unwanted, unwarranted sexual advances” during an on-camera interview in November.
According to the lawsuit, the anonymous plaintiff, listed as Jane Doe, says that during the interview Simmons, “forcefully placed it on his knee and held it on his knee,” before Doe removed his hand.
Doe further said he, “turned standard interview questions into sexual innuendos,” and reached for her hand before saying she, “must use lotion.”
He then reportedly “forcibly flicked/struck” her throat and had an, “incoherent explanation,” for doing so after the Doe looked visibly shocked.
The pair posed for a photo following the interview when Simmons, “reached toward Plaintiff Doe’s buttocks and touched it.” After, she declined his invitation to “stay around” and left.
Doe will remain anonymous but her attorney Willie W. Williams said, “She filed suit because she wanted to make a strong statement that this behavior is unacceptable and she wants to see an end to this type of behavior.”
Simmons is yet to respond publicly to the allegations. Simmons is due to tour Australia next year.
