Drake, Vic Mensa and more have shared tributes following the death of 27 year-old rapper Fredo Santana.
The Chicago rapper, who was the older cousin of Chief Keef, was found dead by his girlfriend in his LA home, according to TMZ.
Throughout the past few months, he’s suffered multiple health scares including kidney and liver failure and a seizure, as he shared on social media.
A number of fellow rappers have reacted to the news with his cousin Chief Keef retweeting multiple fan tributes and writing, “Stop saying Fredo was my friend, That’s my cousin, Big difference.”
Drake shared a photo of the pair and wrote, “Rest in peace Santana,” while Vic Mensa wrote, “Rest In Peace to a real chicago legend.”
He also addressed drug use and PTSD saying, “we need to evaluate the conditions in our communities that raise young black men with more psychological issues than they can ever really unpack. we have to diagnose the system, not the symptoms.”
