Victoria Beckham AKA. Posh Spice has denied that Spice Girls are going to reunite for a tour just days after it emerged that the girls were going to come back together for a tour starting later this year.
They met up last week to discuss “new opportunities” and it seemed that they were working on getting back together but that’s not the case according to Beckham.
Speaking to UK Vogue she said, “I’m not going on tour. The girls aren’t going on tour.”
Beckham has long been the one who did not want to reunite with the girls. It got to the point a few years ago where Geri Halliwell, Melanie B and Emma Bunton hopped in the studio together to record new music because they couldn’t convince the other two.
Despite them not touring anytime soon, Beckham maintains that they are “brainstorming” ideas.
“There’s something so strong in the message of what the Spice Girls stood for. What is that in the future? What does that look like? We were just bouncing ideas around,” she said.
“I think there’s so much that the brand can do, and it’s such a positive message for young kids,” she concluded suggesting that Spice Girls may become something larger than themselves.
We’ll have to wait and see exactly what that manifests into. Beckham wants you to know though that it’s definitely not a tour and sparking a rumour every year is not going to change that.
Damn.
