Some of Australia’s most popular female singers are teaming up for an east coast tour in honour of music legend Joni Mitchell.
‘Both Sides Now: Celebrating The Songs Of Joni Mitchell’ will see Kate Miller-Heidke, Ella Hooper, Wendy Matthews, Kristin Berardi and Rachel Gaudry perform some of the Canadian singer-songwriter’s most iconic songs in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane this July, backed by a 12-piece band.
“The music of Joni Mitchell was a formative influence for me,” says Miller-Heidke.
“Discovering the album Blue at age 14 changed my life. I might not have become a songwriter without it. I can’t wait to revisit some of these songs that mean so much to me, in the company of some rather fabulous women.”
Fans can expect to hear songs like ‘Big Yellow Taxi’, ‘Woodstock’ and ‘A Case Of You’ brought to life in some huge concert hall venues during the tour, including a set at the Sydney Opera House.
