Sydney group Sticky Fingers have teased a return to music, after a 12-month hiatus following “internal issues” within the band.
Sharing a new press photo on Instagram today — their first Instagram post since March 2017 — the band captioned the shot with, “Look who’s back.”
Interestingly, the post tags Sydney music festival Bad Friday, which is set to take place this Friday with a “secret headliner”, which many have speculated could be Sticky Fingers.
The divisive band last performed at Tasmania’s Party In The Paddock festival in February 2017, after announcing in December 2016 that they would be going on an indefinite hiatus.
Performing at Party In The Paddock last year, the group confirmed they would not be breaking up, saying, “There’s a huge difference between hiatus and breaking up.”
Sticky Fingers’ latest piece of music, ‘Everybody’s Talkin’ Bout It’, was released ahead of their hiatus, and rumours of plans for new music and a live return have circulated since.
