Taking Back Sunday have announced, via a statement on Facebook, that founding member and guitarist Eddie Reyes has departed the band.
Not much description or detail was given about the departure, except that it was for “personal reasons”.
“Guitarist Eddie Reyes and Taking Back Sunday have parted ways due to personal reasons,” the statement reads. “Eddie was a founding member of the band and his contributions can be felt all along the way.”

Reyes co-founded Taking Back Sunday in 1999, and recorded an impressive seven albums with the band. Lead guitarist and frontman John Nolan is the only original member of the band remaining.
Reyes’ departure comes just before Taking Back Sunday are about to embark on a world tour, including the US alongside Coheed & Cambria. The band last toured Australia in 2017.
