Molly Meldrum Says He’ll “Push” ABBA To Tour Australia Again

Molly Meldrum has high hopes that ABBA will tour Australia again following news that they’ve returned to the studio together.

The Swedish foursome are due to perform as holograms during a television special set to air in December and there are also reports that an ABBA hologram tour will make its way around the world.

Meldrum reckons he’s going to try and get them here in the flesh though.

“I’m hoping a tour will happen,” he told News Corp.

“I’ll certainly be pushing them.”

He conceded, however, that his first encounter with them ever was awkward saying, “the first time I went to Stockholm to question ABBA, they stared at me, like, ‘Does he even speak English?'”

ABBA have announced that they will release two new songs with one ‘I Still Believe In You’ to be aired during the TV special in December.

They didn’t announce any plans to tour together again but it sounds like Meldrum is going to have a word with them and sort that out.

ABBA’s Benny Andersson revealed in an interview last year that they are planning to bring the hologram tour here to Australia in 2019.
