Travis Scott Put Two Aussie Acts In The NBA 2K19 Soundtrack

Artist-of-the-moment Travis Scott has given two Aussie acts with his godly blessing, bestowing them with a place on the official soundtrack for the mega-hyped NBA 2K19 game, which he’s executive produced and hand-curated.

Alison Wonderland and Ball Park Music are the lucky duo.

Sydney super-producer Wonderland actually features twice on the 42-tune soundtrack for the latest instalment of 2K Sports’ long-running videogame series. Scott has given her original MC Buddy collab ‘Cry’ off 2018’s AWAKE album a guernsey, alongside her remix of Dua Lipa’s ‘New Rules’.

While Brisbane indie rockers Ball Park Music scored a one point shot with their GOOD MOOD cut, ‘Hands Off My Body’.

“Woke up this morning to find @trvisXX has put us in the fucking NBA 2k19 soundtrack,” they posted on Twitter. “Feeling cool as fuck today”.

While in a series of reaction tweets, Wonderland wrote: “OK this is very real”.

Incidentally, you can catch both artists touring around the country later this year. Alison Wonderland will be hitting the road in November, while Ball Park will be touring alongside San Cisco and Ruby Fields next month.

Meanwhile, the NBA 2K19 soundtrack also features three of Travis Scott’s own songs (though surprisingly nothing from his new album ASTROWORLD), along with “a variety of current hip-hop and pop artists providing high energy and a fresh listening experience for all virtual ballers”, including cuts from BROCKHAMPTON, Lil Uzi Vert, Skepta, Migos and more.

NBA 2K19 is out on 11th September, and as well as curating the soundtrack, Scott is also apparently set to make a cameo in the game itself!

He recently spoke to superstar LeBron James about the project in a promo clip, which you can check out below.

Otherwise you can stream the full soundtrack via Spotify right here.
