Divisive Sydney band Sticky Fingers have quietly announced a new national tour, after pulling out of Newcastle’s This That festival in July, following a public backlash.
In an email to fans today, simply titled “It’s been a minute”, the band revealed eight tour dates across Melbourne, Hobart, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Sydney and Darwin, taking place between October and November.
Earlier this year, Sticky Fingers revealed plans to release a new album in 2018, after frontman Dylan Frost was told to leave a Sydney pub following a verbal altercation.
The band has previously faced allegations of racism and violence. In May, bassist Paddy Cornwall threatened Indigenous musician Thelma Plum in a lengthy written tirade on social media.
The controversial group completed a world tour earlier this year, which included headline shows in Australia, Mexico, USA, UK, Germany, Netherlands, New Zealand and Indonesia.
