Dan Sultan has announced his return to the stage, after postponing a tour earlier this year following what he described as a “disrespectful” performance in Cairns.
The singer-songwriter will now perform solo in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth between November and December, playing select tunes from across his discography, as well as some new material.
Back in June, Sultan postponed a solo tour after allegedly performing while intoxicated at Cairns’ Tanks Art Centre — a concert which he described as “inexcusable”.
According to a statement, Sultan has spent the last few weeks working on new music for various projects, including a duet with Irish artist Damien Dempsey, a soundtrack for a documentary about local charity The Thin Green Line and a cover song for the forthcoming Deadly Hearts compilation.
Sultan is also due to perform at Queenscliff Music Festival in November.
