The silly season is upon us, friends, and that means more & more acts are emerging with their surprising and enjoyable Christmas music. But we’re pressed to think of a Christmas song more surprising this year than Queens Of The Stone Age‘s Josh Homme‘s cover of ‘Silent Night’.
Yeah, that ‘Silent Night’.
Friday marked the release of Homme’s digital Xmas-themed 7-inch, which will have a physical release this Friday, 14th December. It was recorded on QOTSA’s Australian tour in 2017, and Homme was helped by C.W. Stoneking in the composition process.
On top of that, the record also features Homme reading of ”Twas The Night Before Christmas’ with his wife, Brody Dalle, and their kids if that tickles your fancy.
All proceeds from the release are going to Homme’s foundation, Sweet Stuff Foundation, as well as our very own Support Act. Both foundations go to help those in the music industry who live with disability, illness and mental illness.
