We already knew that big changes were coming in the Ocean Grove camp, following the announcement that O-G OG’s Luke Holmes and Jimmy Hall were exiting the band following one final performance at UNIFY Gathering, and now we’re one step closer to finding out what the exact nature of those changes may be *strokes beard*
Delivered in possibly the dopest way imaginable – via a video teaser styled like a player selection menu from a vintage Nintendo 64 game like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater II – the Melbourne groove slammers have introduced us to their new-look lineup, feat. a mysterious newcomer to the Oddworld on bass.
That’s right, bassist and vocalist Dale Tanner appears to be guitar-free and stepping up to full time frontman duties in the new era of Ocean Grove.
The identity of the group’s new bassist, however, remains shrouded in mystery for now, with his silhouette blacked out like a player ready to be unlocked.
Ocean Grove have also used the opportunity to tease new music in the form of a song called ‘ASK FOR IT’.
We’re sure that all will be revealed very soon, as the band’s national tour with Hands Like Houses kicks off THIS DAMN FRIDAY.
Catch their new video teaser and national tour dates below.
