Aussie legends Birds Of Tokyo have announced a huge, nationwide tour in support of their new track ‘Good Lord’, and it’s a tour that’s long overdue.
‘Good Lord’ is the band’s first new track in a while, and marks a change in sound for the band written by frontman Ian Kenny after the ugly breakdown of his marriage.
“I know I’m not the first person to go through it, and unfortunately I won’t be the last, but it still hurt like hell and you can hear that in this song,” Kenny said of the song in a statement.
“I was just lucky that writing with the guys in Birds gave me a way to process some of the stuff I couldn’t even talk about at the time.”
This is also the band’s first nationwide tour in over three bloody years, so it’s safe to say that fans have been starving for a fresh chance to see them perform.
It’ll kick off in Adelaide, before playing dates in Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.
