It’s been a little over the year since the world heard the tragic news of The Cranberries frontwoman Dolores O’Riordan‘s death, and now the band have released the final song they ever recorded with her – ‘In The End.’
The eerily-titled track is also the same name of the band’s final album, which is being released next Friday (26th April). Not only that, it is also the closing track on that album.
“What a way to finish the record. To have ‘In The End’ as the last song is just perfect,” said Fergal Lawler in a statement via Consequence Of Sound.
“Lyrically it is self-explanatory,” said guitarist Noel Hogan.
“It speaks for itself, it just is a lovely feeling and it’s a gorgeous song.”
Try not to cry as you listen to the touching song, the final chapter of one of modern music’s most powerful bands.
Vale, Dolores O’Riordan.
