There’s already bit of work in your festival-prep. You’ve gotta pick between clashes, collab with your mates on lineup schedules, plan your outfits, etc. And now, you can add ‘organise your festival hook-up’ to that list, thanks to a new Tinder feature that’s promising to revolutionise the way we do festival flings.
The dating app has teamed up with AEG Worldwide and Live Nation to introduce ‘Festival Mode’, which lets Tinder singles add participating festivals to their profiles in order to view and match with the other Tinder users attending the same event.
Festival Mode rolled out a couple of days ago and Tinder says “Users will have access to their event-specific badges approximately three weeks prior to the start of each event” to help plan their hook-ups in advance.
Tinder CMO, Jenny Campbell reckons Tinder is “must-have” app for singles attending festivals around the world.
“We consistently see a spike in Tinder use as tens of thousands of music fans come together, so we wanted to create a new experience that makes it easier to connect with other concert-goers before even setting foot on festival grounds,” said Campbell.
“We’ve partnered with some of the biggest names in the entertainment and events industry to make that happen, and we couldn’t be more excited to help Tinder users find their crowd during these events for the rest of 2019.”
Unfortunately for Aussie singles it’s not touching down here just yet… and is only available for a list of festivals in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
The app will reportedly be announcing participating Aussie festivals in the coming weeks along with an exclusive partnership with one of our popular festivals…
Any guesses?
