If you were hankering for some new Ocean Alley vibes in your life, this week is your week.
The Sydney group, currently in the midst of a huge North American tour, have blessed us with a brand new single in ‘Infinity’ and well, it’s pretty much on the ticket. Driven by lush guitars and warm tones that see Ocean Alley lean heavy on the blues and encouraging lyrical themes, ‘Infinity’ is a solid addition to the band’s growing body of work.
Since taking out triple j’s Hottest 100 this year with ‘Confidence’, Ocean Alley haven’t had time to rest, with a hectic touring schedule kicking into full gear. First taking a crack at the American music market in 2018 touring with Tash Sultana, this year has seen the band return on their own, selling out shows throughout.
“We are just stoked to be performing and writing while we tour,” the band told Billboard this week. “In that way it’s a good environment for creativity. It’s all happening at once and if you can harness what that means then you can write something that’s captivating and interesting, and that’s exactly how we feel about ‘Infinity’.”
‘Infinity’ is officially released this Thursday (June 6th).
Ocean Alley are next in Australia for Splendour in the Grass in July.
